Two of my favourite blogs are hosting thrifty parties today, so I thought I'd show you now (instead of waiting for Mondays like I usually do) my finds at my favourite church thrift store from yesterday!!
In my quest to organize and de-clutter my home (new motto: a place for everything and everything in its place), I've been using lots of wicker baskets.
Seriously, it's huge! It's nearly 2.5 feet long!
I put it in my entrance closet. It holds frames and other stuff from my project pile!! I had another small basket for that purpose there, but now, that one holds hats, mittens, scarves and stuff!

I also found these jars. 1$ each for the 2 big ones and 50cents for each of the smaller ones. As you know, I like to keep my Beach Glass in such jars, and I was missing at least a jar to hold it all. My brown ones all fit in the biggest jar. And I'm keeping the other ones because soon enough, I will have lots more beach glass to store!

And these frames:

They all have such GREAT details. All are UGLY golden colour (what WAS it about gold frames?!!), check 'em out!!
The detailed frames, once painted, will hold family pictures (in sepia tones) in my staircase.

I actually *like* the print in that middle frame. Might actually use it (though in a simpler frame- I think the detailed frame with a busy print is just too much- they compete for attention.).

Now you GOTTA check out some other awesome thrifty finds. Click on the banners below to be taken to these cool blogs for the linky parties!!

Great finds...what are your plans for that gigantic basket?
Wow, I love that big basket!
I went to Ste-Rose yesterday and found a really tall candle holder, I think it's gorgeous and it'll be nice when everything is repainted. I'll send you a pic!
Caro...
I've been reading some of your posts and enjoy your type of 'shopping'. It's good to get to know you. I'll be back.

Hi Caro, Love the detail on the frames! I don't know what it was about gold frames...but good thing they can be repainted! BTW, I read your other posts...love the pictures of your 3 babies and also what you did with the coffee can...much better! Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment: I used to see milkglass allover but never really paid attention...now that I'm into it, I can't find it! Or if I do, they want way too much for it. I'm going to start going to the church thrift stores and other smaller ones...BTW, you can count me as a follower!
I LOVE that basket> Really, one cannot have enough of those of frames! You did good!

Those frames are AWESOME! You are going to love them when you have them the color you like. That's a great bargain on that basket, too - WOW.
GREAT finds -- one can never have enough baskets, or jars. That is a rule.

Yes, Peanuts are allowed at my little ones school.
they have a specific allergy table where kids with any allergys sit.
But the grren effort is not forced in our school. But you do raise a wonderful point. Why am I useing plactic sandwich bags? - thanks for keeping me a bit greener..I will be changing that in our school lunches.
hope you stop by again soon ;)
Those are great finds! I found a basket very similar to that at an auction for $1, but the condition is not as good as you $4 find. Baskets are so handy! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for coming by and thinking of my grandson. I think this is the hardest thing I have had to go through. Great finds by the way, love the basket. Debbie
